Marta Lach Abandons After Tour de France Femmes Crash

Following a crash on stage 5 of the Tour de France Femmes, CERATIZIT WNT Pro Cycling’s Marta Lach has sadly had to abandon the race.

Having received medical checks on the road, Marta initially continued and finished the stage before receiving further medical checks after the finish. As a result, she will not start stage 6, instead heading home to start the recovery process.

Team DS Steffen Radochla commented on the news: “It’s a real shame to lose Marta from the race today, she will be missed both on the road and around the table. It was a bitter-sweet stage firstly with the crash, then MG’s sixth place before then finding out the extent of Marta’s injuries. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back in action in due course.”
