CERATIZIT-WNT Open their CERATIZIT Challenge by the Vuelta with a Top 10 in the TTT

The team sat in the hot seat with their time of 24'52" before finally finishing in 9th place.

The 19.9km undulating course featured many short, steep ramps - enough to test riders with far more TTT experience under their belts. Still, our lineup of Lin Teutenberg, Marta Lach, Laura Asencio, Hanna Nilsson, Sandra Alonso and Maria Giulia Confalonieri measured their efforts well, setting the fastest time with only the WorldTour favourites left to finish. Eventually unseated by Bike Exchange-Jayco the team retained their top 10 positions, going into stage two with 4 riders at +1'21".

"Team time trials are a special discipline, and they're not easy", explained CERATIZIT-WNT DS Steffen Radochla, "the girls did an excellent job and we can be really happy with 9th place"
