Mylène de Zoete sprints to seventh in Zwevegem

A crash-marred finale to stage two saw a select group sprint for the win.

With 4km to go, a large crash split the peloton with Alice Maria Arzuffi and Mylène de Zoete making the front group where De Zoete was able to finish comfortably inside the top 10. Heading into the final corner, more riders slid out causing Arzuffi to lose contact with De Zoete, but due to the 3km rule was still given the same time as the lead group.

Unfortunately, Lin Teutenberg and Franziska Brauße were caught in the crash behind and while both managed to finish the stage the decision was made that they should not start stage two.

Mylène de Zoete said "It was a very fast race and the finish was very hectic. I wasn't feeling too good on the climbs but I felt better as the race went on. The girls helped me really well, although in the final 5km both Lin and Franzi were involved in a crash. I followed Alice and eventually was able to sprint to seventh."
