Kathrin Schweinberger wins the bunch sprint at GP Stuttgart

After being in the breakaway for the majority of the stage, Kathrin won the bunch sprint for second place.

The first Women's Cycling Grand Prix Stuttgart and Region was a hard-fought battle between the breakaway and the peloton until they entered the finishing circuit. Elena Pirrone of Israel Premier Tech Roland attacked on the first lap, managing to stay away solo until the finish. Schweinberger, eventually caught by the peloton was unphased by her long day on the offensive and comfortably won the bunch sprint for the podium places.
