Clea Seidel takes silver in German Cyclo-cross nationals

Clea Seidel won the silver medal in the German Cyclo-cross national championships on Saturday 8th January.

A new signing for 2022, 19-year-old Clea Seidel won the silver medal at the German Cyclo-cross championships with a home crowd cheering her on.

A hard course which included sand, lots of twists and turns and required a lot of running, made for a demanding race, but one in which suited Clea.

"The course was pretty tough with a lot of running included. It was a curvy and sandy one but it was an amazing race with my home crowd cheering for me!" said Clea later in the day.

The first rider to represent the team in the new Castelli colours in 2022 added "Sure, a silver medal at the nationals is something great and to be proud of but I’m also a little disappointed that I couldn't fight for the gold like I wanted to.

To put this beautiful new kit on was something very special for me I enjoyed every minute in it and looking forward to represent the team more times in it."

Congratulations Clea!
