Confalonieri takes her 3rd podium of the season

Maria Giulia Confalonieri sprinted to her third podium of the season on Monday 25th April at Gran Premio della Liberazione.

On the streets of the historic circuit of Terme di Caracalla in Rome, the 31st edition of Gran Premio della Liberazione took place. The route which consisted of 16 laps of a 6km circuit was always going to be a fast hard, testing race.

After some laps into the race, the peloton broke up and it saw a group of 8 riders go clear of the rest. Working well together the 8 riders, which included CERATIZIT - WNT Pro Cycling's Maria Giulia Confalonieri would stay away until the end of the 96km race. Confalonieri sprinted to 3rd place with Valcar Travel & Service taking a 1 - 2 with Silvia Persico and Chiara Consonni.

The podium was Maria Giulia's third podium placing of the season after a 3rd place at GP Oetingen, and Gent Wevelgem.
